Optima Living’s Aster Gardens is an innovative seniors’ living community built to promote active lifestyles and meet the specific tastes and needs of its residents. The building and all of its amenities were designed with residents in mind, considering their needs every step of the way.
One of these architectural innovations is called the Wedge, a three-floor wing of the Aster Gardens building that emanates out from the southern front side of the building, lining Brower Drive and our parking lot. Inside the Wedge are amenity areas such as the pool, dining rooms, an in-house physician and pharmacist, the salon/spa, suites, community spaces, and a light well that invites the sunshine indoors.
The Aster Gardens building, including the Wedge, was thoughtfully and intentionally designed by Tyler Dixon of DIALOG, a Canadian architecture firm. According to Dixon,
Not only will residents find open, accessible spaces inside the Wedge to enjoy, they can also venture to the rooftop for even more usable space. Dixon continues:
Aster Gardens offers a lifestyle full of activity, purpose, and comfort unlike any other. In intentionally-designed features like the Wedge, our guiding credo—designed with you in mind—is made tangible; a philosophy constructed from concrete, glass, creativity, and sheer forward-thinking innovation.
We can’t wait to welcome you home.
