Optima Living’s expansion from one residence to 40 across Alberta and British Columbia underscores a growing need for high-quality, thoughtful seniors’ housing in Canada. Now, Optima Living’s new visual identity honours that original vision while embracing a bold future.

Seniors Week at Rutherford Heights was one to remember! From beers in the courtyard to an incredible afternoon of resident awards and a fun-filled carnival, we spent the week celebrating the vibrant hearts and stories that make our community so special.
Our residents thoroughly enjoy pet therapy day! For seniors, pet therapy can have a profound impact. With the unconditional love of therapy animals, residents in senior living communities experience companionship, reduced anxiety, and enhanced emotional support.
We had a blast at our recent BBQ and Summer Games! From water balloon tosses (featuring some brave leadership team members) to friendly competitions and plenty of laughs, it was a day to remember.
Our recent Super Mega Bingo event was a big hit! Residents enjoyed tasty snacks, great company, and a few exciting rounds of bingo.
On the first day of Seniors’ Week, we stopped by Golden Circle for their Seniors’ BBQ! With a special visit from the Cycling Without Age Rotary bikes, we had tons of fun.
On the second day of Seniors’ Week our residents attended the Mayor’s Rustic Roots Social. Delicious apple pie with ice cream, a down-home country band, and lots of prizes made for a fun-filled afternoon.
We recently hosted a food bank drive to help support those in need. Thanks to the kindness and generosity of our residents, team members, and community, we were able to collect a meaningful donation for our local food bank.
We’re excited to share that a beautiful new art installation is underway in our long-term care wing! This piece beautifully reflects the Salmon Wing.
