At Optima Living, we believe that strong communities are built on connection, creativity, and shared experiences. Across our residences, residents, team members, and local partners come together to create meaningful moments that enhance daily life. Here’s a look at some of the recent highlights throughout our communities.
The Hamlets at Vernon: A Gourmet Experience with Chef Mathieu Auger
Food has a special way of bringing people together, and at The Hamlets at Vernon, residents experience an elevated dining experience through the Gourmet Dinner Club. Led by Mathieu Auger, Support Services Manager and Red Seal Chef, this exclusive monthly event invites eight randomly selected residents from the Assisted Living and Independent Living floors to enjoy a special fine-dining meal.
With a focus on high-quality ingredients and expert culinary techniques, Chef Mathieu crafts a memorable evening that feels like a night out at a five-star restaurant. Residents eagerly anticipate their turn to join the table, knowing that each meal promises to be a unique feast for the taste buds and also an opportunity to enjoy great conversation in an intimate setting. This unique initiative reflects Optima Living’s dedication to making every mealtime a meaningful experience.
Everitt Gardens: A Mural of Generations
At Everitt Gardens in St. Albert, a heartwarming collaboration between local students and residents has transformed a shared space into a work of art. Senior arts students from Bellerose Composite high school designed and painted a beautiful mural in the residents’ dining room, dedicating many hours to complete the vibrant project. A beautiful garden scene mural now brightens the day for residents and serves as a reminder of the generous spirit of the community in St. Alberts. Read more in the St. Albert Gazette.
