Never Too Late:
The Power of Goal Setting

At Optima Living, we believe that life is best lived with purpose, no matter our age. Setting goals gives each day meaning and helps us work toward self-improvement. It’s a reminder that our journey never truly stops and that we are capable of achieving remarkable things at every stage of life.

For seniors, goal setting is about embracing a mindset that values progress and possibility, not just about achieving something tangible. Goals help us look forward to the future, reflect on what matters most, and celebrate milestones along the way.

Live Authentically:
Enhance the life you love!

Senior living doesn’t mean changing who you are—it’s about enhancing the life you already love!

Living authentically is at the heart of senior living. It’s about continuing to do what makes you happy, staying connected to the things that matter most, and creating a space where you can thrive. In a community that values individuality, you can live the way you always have—with joy and confidence.

It’s about living with purpose, in a place that feels like home.

Warm smiles and even warmer cups of hot chocolate! Our residents at Laurel Heights recently enjoyed a delightful Hot Chocolate Social! With marshmallows, whipped cream, and plenty of good company, these sweet treats brightened up a chilly day!

It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas at Laurel Heights! Our wonderful residents are spreading holiday cheer as they help decorate the community. There’s nothing like teamwork to make our home feel magical this season!
Recently, our residents flocked together for an exciting game of bird racing, a whimsical twist on the traditional horse racing concept! In the end, it wasn’t about who won, it was about the joy of friendly competition and creating new memories together.
What better way to spend a chilly day than decorating cookies together? Residents got creative with frosting and sprinkles, turning plain cookies into edible masterpieces. The warmth of our community certainly melted away the winter chill. It’s these moments that make our days brighter, no matter how cold it gets outside!
At 97 years young, Harley proves that age is just a number when it comes to doing what you love. Known for his days as the Vice President of Molson Brewing Company, Harley now takes centre stage on the dance floor, living life to the fullest with every step. His energy, grace, and joy are an inspiration to all of us here at Everitt Gardens. Here’s to Harley, who truly lives to dance! Keep those feet moving, Harley, we’re all cheering you on!

At MacTaggart Place, our community is more than just neighbours, we're a family! From shared laughs to lending a hand, we’re here for each other every step of the way. Together, we create a place where everyone feels at home.

Teamwork and social connection are two of the pillars of our community at Sage Hill. Baking is one of our favourite activities to share with a friend. Enjoying delicious treats and sweet company, what could be better!
After 16 years of dedicated service in laundry and housekeeping at Rutherford Heights, we are sending our best wishes to Maxine Patmore for a wonderful retirement! Her hard work, kindness, and commitment have left a lasting impact on our community, and she will be deeply missed.
We created a two season, space saving craft! Our residents made practical and beautiful door hangers; one side of the hanger is for fall and the other is for Christmas! We had so much fun working on this craft and we enjoyed getting into the Christmas spirit a little early!

Shhh. Be vewy vewy quiet, we are hunting deer! It was our Annual Deer Hunt and what a blast we had! The ‘bullets’ were flying, the deer were ‘dying’ and everyone was smiling!
Santa made a special early visit to bring holiday cheer to our residents! They had the opportunity to share their holiday wishes, snap photos, and enjoy the magic of the season.
We launched a Christmas decorating initiative in our community, and each department is eagerly participating in the “Best Holiday Door” competition. As we decorate our doors, we’re not just showcasing our creativity; we’re creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere!

Recently, our community came together for a day filled with fun and games! Laughter and friendly competition were in the air as residents bonded over shared moments of joy. It’s always a delight to see our community thriving together!
