Celebrating Resilience and Strength

The first month of 2022 has already been a rollercoaster of highs and lows, but that has not kept the fun out of our communities. We are constantly inspired by your resilience and strength as you seek out opportunities to laugh and have fun, even amidst all the restrictions. As the late Betty White once said, "Laughter keeps everyone feeling wonderful."

We want to take this time to thank you for continuing to follow COVID regulations. It is not easy, but our respect of these restrictions will pay off and soon we will be together again!

Remember to be kind to yourself and reach out to others. Our team is always here to help.

Stay Safe. Be Well. Take Care.

Our White Heather ManorGolden Sands, and Chilliwack Lifestyles communities came out in full force, ready to ring in the New Year! Not only was there delicious food, like shrimp cocktails, but endless stories of past celebrations and future excitement.

Spa Day at Wild Rose

Wild Rose had a Nail & Spa Day for residents and the ladies certainly came out in droves to get fresh and sparkly nails for the New Year!

They'd like to thank the HCA staff who always are so helpful with this project.

With the winter months causing us all to stay indoors more, having a visit from "man's best friend" was exactly the pick-me-up the Chilliwack Lifestyles community needed! Our furry visitor greeted each resident with excitement, leaving a joyful trail of laughter and comfort.

“The staff are exceptionally kind, helpful, and patient. Adjusting from living in a house to a 1-bedroom suite was much easier than I expected! ... especially when you have a whole beautiful building to engage with!

Making new friends has been a great experience. I wouldn’t have had the opportunity to meet all these people had I not moved."

Remembering Betty White

A group of senior citizens watching TV

Betty White graced our screens with her presence for many years and we were sad to hear of her passing. It was only fitting that the Aster Gardens community decided to celebrate her life by dedicating a whole day to her!

When it came to getting older, Betty always saw the upside:

"Best thing about being in your 90s is you're spoiled rotten. Everybody spoils you like mad and they treat you with such respect because you're old. Little do they know, you haven't changed. You haven't changed in [the brain]. You're just 90 every place else... Now that I'm 91, as opposed to being 90, I'm much wiser. I'm much more aware and I'm much sexier."
