Position Summary
The Senior Director of Resident Services at Optima Living is a Senior Leadership Forum (SLF) role responsible for enhancing the quality of life for residents and employees across all communities.
This role provides oversight and direction to leaders of select Communities of Practice (COP) including: the Director, Quality Care BC; Director, Quality Care AB; Senior Manager, Asset Management; and Regional Manager, Hospitality. The Senior Director will also work closely with the Senior Directors of Operations to ensure alignment of resident services with operational goals and community standards.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategic plans with the COPs for resident services that align with Optima Living’s mission and operational objectives.
Collaborate with the Senior Directors of Operations to ensure consistent service delivery and operational excellence.
Support the functional leaders of the Communities of Practice within resident services
Participate as a member of the SLF in the Big Rocks deep dives and Annual Bricks process
Stay current with the industry trends of care, hospitality and asset management
Drive innovation in resident services using best practices, new programs and technology
Provide leadership and guidance to direct reports, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Assist in the development and management of functional budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and resource optimization.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of resident services programs and make data-driven improvements. This includes ensuring that feedback from resident and employee surveys is systematically reviewed and addressed through the development and implementation of targeted project plans.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal quality standards.
Serve as a key liaison between the COO and resident services teams to communicate strategic priorities and performance outcomes.
Qualifications
Post secondary degree in healthcare, administration, hospitality, or a related field
Progressive leadership experience in senior living, healthcare, or hospitality sectors.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects.
Strong strategic thinking, communication, and organizational skills.
Experience with budgeting, program execution, and performance management.
