Safe Exercises for Seniors

As you gracefully age, you may notice your body does not move the way it used to. But that doesn’t mean you can’t move your body!

There are so many ways to safely move around, get some exercise, and feel good. Not only does exercising help your body physically, it’s also a boon to your mental health.

Yoga

Yoga is great for increasing flexibility, range of motion, and mobility in general. It can even help manage diabetes, depression, and anxiety.

Aerobics

Even walking around the park can get the heart rate up and facilitate weight loss and other benefits.

Weight Training

Try sitting in a chair and lifting some small weights, using your upper arm strength. It can help with osteoporosis, arthritis, and back pain.

It is recommended that seniors get at least 2.5 hours of exercise every week, and more if you can. Take up a new hobby like golf, swimming, or indoor walking, and get in those hours. Watch our latest webinar to learn more about the benefits of good health!
