Optima Living Newsletter 2021

Posted on February 3rd, 2021

Dear Optima Residents, Employees, and Stakeholders,

We hope you are enjoying a healthy start to this new year!

We are happy to report COVID-19 positive numbers are declining. We must continue to maintain precautions, adhering to physical distancing, hand hygiene, and wearing masks.

COVID-19 vaccines have been offered to all of our Supportive Living communities in Alberta. We are grateful that residents in our independent living communities have also been offered vaccines. In addition, all of our Assisted Living and Long-Term Care communities in British Columbia have been offered the vaccine.

Stay Safe. Be Well. Take Care.

Thank you.

Webinar: Reimagine Senior Living Caregiving in Community

Seniors are valued members of our society, and at Optima Living we want to ensure they are equipped with all of the facts they need about caregiving, community, and our goal of reimagining senior living. The care partners at all Optima Living communities are carefully selected and well trained for all facets of high-quality living. As senior care professionals, we understand the concerns of living in a care community. In this webinar, Wild Rose's General Manager Marie Concepcion discusses "Reimagine Senior Living: Caregiving in Community."

Wild Rose on Global News

Global News recently featured a story on how senior living communities have fared during the pandemic. Wild Rose is one of six communities in Edmonton that have remained outbreak-free. Visit our blog to read statements from Wild Rose's General Manager Marie Concepcion and Optima Living's Regional Director of Quality Care Yvette Elmquist.

Construction Updates
Aster Gardens: Construction is progressing well! All of the exterior walls are nearly finished, and the way Aster Gardens looks from outside is truly beautiful. Swing by to see it for yourself! We are on schedule to open this year. Each of the many tradespeople that work here every day are keeping safe and fully following all COVID-19 regulations
Wisteria Place: Floors are going in now and the high-quality sprinkler system is almost complete. Windows, doors, painting, tubs and walk-in showers, and more are done or being finished. The dedicated workers of Townline Housing Solutions, along with the varied tradespeople, are doing a bang up job with safety and quality in mind!

Wild Rose Yoga

In the second of Wild Rose's online Yoga sessions, held on January 19th, our instructor Erin begins the classes with some easy techniques.
